Jennifer Lawrence Plans to Have a Breast Augmentation
Fact: Jennifer Lawrence has always kept it real. Whether in interviews or candid red carpet moments, she’s never shied away from being authentic. And when it comes to plastic surgery, she’s taking the same approach.
In a recent interview with The New Yorker, the Oscar-winning actress revealed plans to have a breast augmentation next month. It’s not uncommon for celebrities to open up about procedures after the fact—or even share measurements post-surgery—but getting ahead of the chatter before heading into the operating room feels refreshingly candid.
In the article published this week, Lawrence said she made the decision after giving birth to her second child. With a sentiment many women can relate to, she shared, “Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one. Second one, nothing bounced back.” She added that she’ll also be nude on camera in an upcoming film, just one year postpartum.
Plastic surgery is more common than ever, especially among celebrities. There’s no denying the pressure to maintain certain looks, from facial features to body proportions. But for Lawrence, this decision isn’t about professional expectations. When asked if she’d still consider the procedure if she weren’t an actress, she replied, “Maybe I wouldn’t be hustling to the appointment in the same way,” she said. “But I think yes.” With production starting in the spring, she’s planning to have the surgery in November.
When it comes to facelifts—arguably the most talked-about procedure in beauty right now—Lawrence admitted she’s thought about it, saying she hasn’t had one yet but plans to someday. (“Believe me, I’m gonna!”) According to The Hunger Games star, fillers have never been her thing because they can show on camera. While she does get Botox, she noted that it can sometimes interfere when she needs to use her forehead for certain roles.
While she didn’t specify the type of breast procedure she’s seeking, here’s hoping she’ll share more once she’s recovered.
