A Mother’s Day Brunch Outside: Our Spring Entertaining Essentials
- This post is sponsored by Wayfair
The backyard feels like a green oasis right now — one I love sharing with the people I care about most. Lately, I’ve been picturing an outdoor Mother’s Day brunch for my favorite moms, and I wanted to gather a few pieces to help set the scene. I’ve been searching over at Wayfair, one of my go-to spots for the unexpected, and pulled together so many finds to help create a morning that feels both effortless and celebratory. Exactly what mom deserves.
A mix of polished silver and woven texture makes the scene feel elevated, yet inviting. To keep hosting easy, decant a few juices and fizzy sodas into glass bottles and tuck them all into a giant silver ice bucket — fancy enough for a Derby party, but casual enough for a lazy lunch. And the deep silver snack tray? A platter fitting for crudités (not just veggies and dip).
I scored the ceramic silverware cups from Wayfair, too, and I can’t believe I’ve been hosting my whole adult life without one! Especially for the standing-around-and-snacking portion of the event — I want things to look pulled together. This fits the bill!

Tablecloth | Tealight Lamps | Tiered Stand | Silver Vase | Faux Hydrangeas | Divided Silver Tray | Napkins | Chargers | Swing Top Bottle
I gawked when I saw this tiered serving tray. It literally elevates the food! Anything you place on it instantly looks fancier, and the croissant sandwiches suddenly double as a centerpiece.
I was mesmerized by the petite lamps at Polo Bar in New York — tiny candles flickering inside, setting the whole room aglow. The second I spotted similar ones at Wayfair, I grabbed them! The glass enclosure means they won’t blow out, either. The chargers are in my favorite wood tone — warm and traditional. The napkins, with the embroidered border, feel so country club to me. And I’m pretty sure I have a dress in the same print as this tablecloth. It was meant to be.
I’ll be keeping these on hand all spring and summer for our backyard brunches and dinner parties. If you’re looking for more elevated pieces you’ll use on repeat, find my picks below!
